Providing a safe environment is of utmost importance here at Parker Place. Some of the ways we accomplish this include:
- Designing a secure wellness space. In addition to ensuring our facilities and materials are age-appropriate for the groups we serve, we also have a private ensuite restroom (so children do not need to leave our center to use the public restrooms in the building) and 24-hour video surveillance in all our class spaces and common areas.
- Screening our staff. Our management and instructors have all passed a rigorous background check, are experts in their field, and are experienced in working with children.
- Being mindful of food safety. Our culinary team and medical director are Serv-Safe certified, meaning they are well-versed in proper food handling, and we maintain a completely nut-free kitchen. We also maintain food allergy information on all our class participants, and we prominently display lists of all of the foods utilized in each of our cooking and nutrition classes so that parents can be aware of any potential allergens.
