Communicating with our wonderful community of families here at Parker Place has always been a priority. However, as a very small office, we can’t always pick up a call if we happen to be on another line, and who hasn’t experienced email overload?
We’re delighted to share that we’re now offering a new service to help you keep in touch with us: text messaging! You can now send us a regular SMS text message, right from your phone, and we’ll receive it here in our office. (You don’t even need to use a separate number - just text us on our main office line at 410-844-8998!) If it’s during business hours, a member of our team will respond right away; if we’re closed, we’ll get back to you quickly on the next business day.
The technology we use for this text messaging feature ensures that the messages exchanged are completely secure, meet HIPAA privacy guidelines, and are automatically integrated into your child’s records here at Parker Place. That makes texting an ideal means of communication for so many purposes:
Scheduling, moving or cancelling an appointment
Requesting copies of lab orders or prescription refills
Updating your contact information or your child’s insurance coverage
Asking basic clinical questions
…and more!
Our staff will also utilize texting to confirm your appointments, remind you of outstanding lab/imaging orders, notify you of any balances due, and share any urgent announcements.
Of course, we still welcome you to call or email our office anytime you’d like, but we do encourage you to try out our texting feature! Just send us a text to 410-844-8998 and we’ll reply right back!
