the GIVING TREE AT PARKER PLACE

NEW THIS YEAR: FAMILY PANTRY BAGS!

Did you know that 1 in 6 children in Maryland (more than 219,000 kids) struggle with hunger as part of their daily lives?

Sadly, this is also the reality for many of our patients’ families here at Parker Place.

Our Holiday Giving Tree program began in 2023 to support patients whose families are experiencing financial hardship, including food insecurity. This year, along with toys, gifts, and essential clothing, we’re also collecting Family Pantry Bags filled with nutritious, shelf-stable foods for meals and snacks.

If you’d like to help bring nourishment and comfort to a local family this holiday season, we welcome your support!

Pantry Bags are needed for families of all sizes - keep reading to learn how you can get involved!

doNATION OPTIONS:

We welcome donations of complete Family Pantry Bags as well as individual food items - every contribution makes a difference!

  • Family Pantry Bags: Please include all of the items listed for your selected family size (small, medium, or large). Parker Place will package everything up in reusable shopping bags prior to recipients’ pickup.

  • Individual Food Items: Don’t have time to assemble a full package? No problem! Donations of any of the foods on our shopping list are greatly appreciated. We’ll use these items to build additional Family Pantry Bags and to supplement others as needed for families experiencing food insecurity.
