Counseling Services

At Parker Place, we strive to support all aspects of a child’s health and well-being. We are thrilled to offer the services of Dr. Kimberley Palmiotto, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, for both individual and group counseling for children, teens and families struggling to manage various aspects of learning and life.

Dr. Palmiotto engages children using expressive therapies (art, music, dance, and play) in her counseling sessions to introduce and encourage the practice of more abstract concepts related to feelings, social skills, and coping strategies.  Her approach is hinged on positive psychology and strengths-based parenting, which highlight a person's strengths and helps them to capitalize on them to create stronger skills.

Individual Counseling

Dr. Palmiotto provides individual counseling right here in our office for both children and adolescents, as well as for parents and for whole families who prefer to be seen together. These sessions are ideal for addressing specific challenges or for skills-building.

Individual counseling is priced at a rate of $150 per hour.

In addition to ongoing counseling sessions, Dr. Palmiotto offers a specialized coaching program for individual children and families wishing to improve their executive functioning skills. Click the button below to learn about this unique resource!

Small Group Counseling

Public Events

Finally, Dr. Palmiotto is planning a number of upcoming workshops and group activities for kids and families in the Annapolis area. Be sure to keep an eye on our Public Events page, where these special events will be announced!

Insurance

Dr. Palmiotto is currently an out-of-network provider and is unable to bill claims to insurance. She is in the process of credentialing with a number of insurance carriers, and this page will be updated as she transitions to accepting insurance for individual and group counseling sessions. In the meantime, Dr. Palmiotto accepts payment via cash, check, and all major credit cards, and is happy to provide you with appropriate documentation to submit to your insurance company if you would like to request reimbursement for out-of-network care.
