Skills for Healthy Living (Ages 16-21): FREE Group Sessions!

Adolescents and young adults are invited to join Becca Allison, our third-year occupational therapy student, for these FREE group sessions focusing on connection, belonging, peer support, and healthy living.

In-person and virtual groups are available!

In these sessions, participants will:

  • Share experiences and support one another

  • Learn how to build healthy daily routines

  • Practice establishing good habits

  • Solve real-life problems with peers

  • Learn fun exercises and easy recipes

In-person groups will meet on Mondays at 5pm: February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.

Virtual groups will meet on Thursdays at 5pm: February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

Tummy Time for Infants!

 
Three babies, each enjoying Tummy Time

Join occupational therapist Katie Hird, OTD, OTR/L, for this special class created just for babies and their parent/caregiver! In each session of this small group class, you’ll have the opportunity to explore techniques, strategies, and activities to help your baby learn to enjoy tummy time and experience all its benefits! There will also be time in each session for questions and discussion. Note: this class is for all babies, those who are hitting their milestones and those who need a little extra support!

Sessions are held from 10:00-10:45am on the following dates:

  • Thursday, January 15th

  • Thursday, January 22nd

  • Thursday, January 29th

  • Thursday, February 5th

Fine Motor Camp (Grades 1-3)

Before school starts, help your child sharpen their fine motor skills needed for so many classroom activities. Created by our board-certified occupational therapist, Kara Hoegerl, OTR/L, this mini-camp is just for kids entering grades 1-3. Skills that will be practiced include handwriting, cutting, shoe tying, fine motor strength, and underlying sensory issues. It’s a great way to set your child up for success this upcoming school year!

In this cooking-focused session, kids will get to participate in hands-on preparation of a variety of simple and easy recipes, building upon their growing appreciation of food.

Through engaging activities developed around a theme of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle, kids aged 4-6 will have the opportunity to practice the skills that are essential for a successful transition into school. From the fine motor skills needed to learn to write to the sensory processing skills that help kids to manage in a busy classroom environment, this group will cover it all!
