This fun, 6-week group helps children learn to to develop a more positive relationship with food, expand their diets, and improve their mealtime behaviors. The small group setting offers valuable peer modeling opportunities and encourages children to engage with new foods through playful interactions.
Food Friends is guided by our feeding specialist and occupational therapist, Kara Hoegerl, OTR/L. Kara designed this group experience based on the evidence-backed Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding.
Please note: this group does require that children either have already had an occupational therapy evaluation (either here with Kara or with another provider/clinic), or that they schedule one prior to the first group session. You can read more about occupational therapy evaluations with Kara here.
Ages: 9-12
Dates: June 26, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, and August 7 (all Wednesdays), with a make-up session offered on August 14
Times: 5:15-6:00pm

Fee: Individual class sessions are $80 each, billed weekly; a discounted rate of $450 is available to those who pay in full for all 6 sessions in advance
