Get your child ready for the next big milestone in their life: kindergarten!
These 4-day mini-camps, led by our occupational therapist, Kara Hoegerl, OTR/L, focus on developing a range of skills that are essential for a successful transition into school. From the fine motor skills needed to learn to write to the sensory processing skills that help kids to manage in a busy classroom environment, this group will cover it all.
Each mini-camp is inspired by a popular children’s book - this session’s theme is “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees, and includes lots of animal fun! Through engaging activities designed to help enhance the skills for kindergarten readiness, your child will be set for a bright and confident start in kindergarten!
In addition to the camp fun, at-home activity suggestions, and parent resources, children will receive a complimentary developmental screening conducted by a board-certified occupational therapist. This screening aims to offer parents insights into their child’s skill development as compared with their same-age peers.
